Portugal 2030: 85 calls and €852 million planned until December
The new Annual Plan of Calls provides for 85 calls by the end of 2026, led by Compete 2030 (€311m), and 172 competitions until August 2027.

The new Portugal 2030 Annual Plan of Calls (Plano Anual de Avisos) provides for 85 calls between September and December 2026, worth almost €852 million. They comprise 58 open competitions and 27 invitation-only calls. The full plan runs until August 2027 and includes 172 competitions with around €2 billion in EU funds.

- Compete 2030: 311€m
- Sustentável 2030: 198€m
- Alentejo 2030: 147€m
The areas announced include decarbonisation, energy efficiency, internationalisation projects, productive innovation, affordable housing, student accommodation and the digitalisation of public administration.

What this means for companies
- An annual plan of calls is a forecast, not an open call. Conditions, deadlines and eligibility are only set when each call is published.
- With 93% of Portugal 2030’s allocation put out to tender by the end of this year, less and less remains to be launched. Companies with an investment project should prepare their application early and track the dates planned for the programme that interests them.
